The daily on-chain market for public-safety data

Predict the Pulse of America's cities.

CrimeLine turns official city crime data into peer-to-peer prediction markets. Call tomorrow's number — over or under — and trade directly against other players, never against a house. Prices come from the crowd. Settlement comes from the data.

Today's board

Every city has a number.

Pick a market, pick a side. It feels like a sportsbook — except there's no book. Every line is a live peer-to-peer market: another player holds the other side, and the official number decides who's right.

The CrimeLine Score

Not all crime counts the same.

A shoplifting report isn't a robbery. Every qualifying incident is scored by severity — minor offenses count light, major offenses count heavy — so the Score reflects how a city's day actually felt, not just how many reports were filed. Markets trade on raw counts and the weighted Score.

×2Vandalism
×3Vehicle theft
×4Burglary
×6Robbery
×8Assault

The rules · plain English

  1. A line posts every morning. Each city gets a number for each market — like Houston Total Crime 287.5.
  2. You pick a side. Over or under. Another player takes the opposite side — peer-to-peer, no house.
  3. The day plays out. Reported incidents accumulate in the live counter all day. You can watch every market move.
  4. The snapshot settles it. At noon ET the next day, the official number is locked from the licensed feed. Over the line, overs win. Under it, unders win.
  5. Winners get paid instantly. Settlement posts on-chain and payouts land in USDC — automatic, verifiable, no claims process.

Where the live numbers come from

1
Police departments reportOfficial incident reports from each city, timestamped as they're filed.
2
Licensed data feed aggregatesA single independent provider collects and standardizes every qualifying incident — the same feed for everyone.
3
The live counter updatesReported-so-far climbs through the day. Reports lag real time, which is why the projection runs ahead of the raw count.
4
Noon ET snapshotThe next day's fixed-time snapshot is the final number — raw counts for count markets, severity-weighted for Score markets.
5
On-chain settlementThe number posts to Solana and every market pays out from it. Anyone can audit any result, forever.

The source

One number. Nobody's thumb on it.

Every market lives or dies on the settlement number — so the number is the most protected thing in the protocol. Here is exactly where it comes from, and why nobody (including us) can lean on it.

Official records only

Markets settle on incident data published by city police departments — public records any journalist or citizen can pull, never our editorial judgment.

Independent & licensed

A licensed, independent data company compiles the qualifying incidents. CrimeLine cannot add, remove or edit a single report — and the provider is contracted and publicly named in the rulebook before the first market opens.

Same feed for everyone

One feed, one snapshot, every player, every market. No premium data tier, no early looks — the board sees exactly what you see, at the same moment.

Sealed on Solana

The noon-ET number posts on-chain and every payout flows from it — check any settled market against the provider's published data, today or years from now. And if the feed can't produce a number, markets void and stakes refund in full.

Fair by construction: CrimeLine is peer-to-peer — the protocol earns a small fee on winnings and never holds a side of any market, so it has nothing to gain from the number landing over or under.

Markets

More ways to read the city.

Over/under is the flagship. Around it sits a full board of daily markets — city-versus-city, ranges, and one index that captures them all.

Over / Under

Total crime, violent crime, vehicle thefts, burglaries, robberies — call each city's number against the line.

Most Crime Today

Which city reports the most qualifying incidents? Pick the leader from the field before the day settles.

Lowest Crime

The flip side — which city stays quietest today. A market for the calm as much as the chaos.

Biggest Increase

Which city jumps the most versus yesterday? A pure momentum market on the day-over-day swing.

Exact Range

Skip over/under and nail the bucket: 260–269, 270–279, 280–289, 290–299, 300+. More precision, bigger payout.

CrimeLine Index

One market to rule them all: the severity-weighted Score across every launch city, rolled into a single daily number.

On-chain by design.

CrimeLine runs on Solana — so every market is fast, cheap, transparent, and always yours. No house account, no custody, no cash-out delays.

Peer-to-peer by design

You trade against other players, never against us. CrimeLine matches orders and takes a small fee — it never holds your funds and never takes the other side.

How it works

One source. One settlement. Fully transparent.

01

Lines post each morning

Every launch city opens with a line for each market, priced from historical data and the day's early pace.

02

The crowd takes the other

Over or under, a city, or a range — your order matches against players on the opposite side. Build a slip, track it live, and watch the market move all day.

03

Settles on-chain

A single licensed data provider is snapshotted at noon Eastern the following day and posted to Solana. Same source, every market — payouts in USDC, verifiable by anyone.
